Job Position: Planning & Strategy Manager, DSR Numan Operation
Location: Apapa, Lagos

Job Summary

The Planning & Strategy Manager is responsible for determining and developing the most suitable, economical and viable methods for taking care of plant and equipment by estimating a time scale for a set maintenance or project. He/She also ensures that the outlined deadlines are met, the maintenance or project runs on schedule and that all logistics are made available on request.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Head the planning section and Support in the achievement of the company’s goal by making sure all maintenance work in the factory has been carried out at the time specified and done to the very best.
  2. To ensure that during production day, planned maintenance is fully observed and maintained throughout the cropping season.
  3. To be able to liaise with all the sectional heads and engineers to share ideas on how to move the factory forward in the area of technical challenges and high production performers.
  4. To plan off-crop maintenance for all sections before the crushing crop ends.
  5. Ensure that during the production season, maintenance schedules are well-planned and structured.
  6. Plan labour requirements for the factory during the production and off-crop period.
  7. Ensure the implementation of best practice root cause analysis in the event of production downtime.
  8. Prepare and submit a comprehensive report to enable adequate statistics and relevant data for management.
  9. Compile a non-conformance report on all production figures and write of monthly report on the factory position.
  10. Creating a checklist suitable for each equipment and for easy monitoring and maintenance.
  11. Carry out frequent daily routine inspections to ensure compliance with the checklist report.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  1. Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Engineering-related Courses.
  2. Any relevant professional certificate is an added advantage.
  3. 15 Years of working experience in the sugar industry.
  4. Effective Communication skills

  8. Presentation skills.
