Job Position: Porter & Front Desk Officer
Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

Are you a customer-focused individual with a passion for providing excellent service in the hotel and hospitality sector? We are currently seeking a qualified Porter and Front Desk professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience and relevant educational qualifications to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Greet guests upon arrival, assist with luggage handling, and provide directions and information about hotel facilities.
  2. Ensure the lobby and entrance areas are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained at all times.
  3. Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments and issuing room keys.
  4. Answer guest inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate and prompt responses.
  5. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
  6. Maintain a log of guest requests, complaints, and feedback for follow-up and improvement.
  7. Monitor and control access to hotel premises, ensuring security protocols are followed.
  8. Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the hotel booking system.
  9. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports for management.
  10. Uphold high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and customer service in all interactions with guests.

Job Requirements

  1. Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the hotel and hospitality industry.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanour.
  4. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to handle various guest requests simultaneously.
  5. Proficiency in using hotel management software and reservation systems.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  7. A service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations and ensure a pleasant stay experience.
