FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets. We started with a digital microcredit application on Android, and currently roll out additional financial services (current account, savings, debit card) while expanding the product to Western Africa and South-East Asia.

Job Position: Portfolio Manager
Locations: Asaba – Delta, Benin – Edo, Enugu, Kaduna and Onitsha – Anambra (5 openings)

Job Overview

  1. The Portfolio Manager will build and manage with effectiveness and efficiency a large porfolio of customers with the strict minimum risk acceptance level by selling the different products of the company.
  2. The Portfolio manager remains responsible for the funds given out to clients in his portfolio as loans.
  3. He is also responsible of having a good relationship with Fairmoney’s clients and encourage them to buy all the products they are qualified for.

Job Responsibilities
Pre-loan disbursement:

  1. Promote/Market Fairmoney’s products to prospective clients by using all the channels possible
  2. Visit and evaluate potential client businesses
  3. Visit the client’s house when it’s necessary
  4. Visit the co-debtor, guarantor’s house and businesses when it’s required.
  5. Analyse the financial data of the client’s businesses
  6. Analysis of quantitative and qualitative data of client businesses and households.
  7. Prepare loan documents for the credit committee
  8. Present loan files to the credit committee.
  9. Enter the Loan files in the MIS.
  10. Represent Fairmoney towards all active and potential partners with dignity and pride.
  11. Fulfil all other necessary assignments as required by the institution.

Post-Loan Disbursement:

  1. Conduct monitoring visits to businesses and households
  2. Follow-up on day-to-day loan repayment.
  3. Manage loan recovery from active and write-off clients until complete reimbursement.
  4. Assess the impact of the loan before renewal.

Requirements

  1. HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related fields.
  2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in Loan Sales / Portfolio Management
  3. Ability to motivate a team of Sales Managers for performance.
  4. Extremely flexible, result-oriented, and hardworking with a strong track record of success.
  5. Ability to self-motivate and manage oneself.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. High level of integrity
  8. Dynamic and motivated individuals who like to work outdoors.
