We are currently seeking motivated and excellence-driven candidates with extensive experience in design to join our engineering team in the position below:
Job Position: Principal Pipeline Engineer
Location: Nigeria
Job Purpose
- Completeing Pipeline discipline scope of work of the assigned project.
- Endorse all pipeline design deliverables.
Main Functions
- Coordinate with the head of the department in the determination of project manning requirements, timelines and budgets
- Execute pipeline tasks within budget and schedule by leading a team of pipeline engineers and designers
- Review and recommend improvements to existing pipeline engineering principles
- Participate in meetings with the client and project team to establish project deliverables and to coordinate and resolve design problems
- Responsible for quality and integrity of the pipeline design deliverables
- Provide technical support to other ongoing projects when required
- Handle interfaces with internal disciplines and 3rd parties (including vendor, subcontractors, and client)
- Participate in technical and design review workshops as per project requirements
- Training and development of engineers within the discipline
- Acting as pipeline technical authority.
- Perform other duties as may be directed by the company.
- Responsible for preparing pipeline CTR, MDR, and project schedule.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Ocean Engineering
- Minmum of 12 years pipeline design experience in oil and gas.
- Working knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to design and Broad knowledge of oil and gas facilities and project management
- Familiar with Clients’ standards such as Shell DEPs, ExxonMobil’s GP and/or Chevron’s CES
- Thorough understanding of offshore and onshore pipeline design, installation, transportation, testing, and pre-commissioning.
- Registered professional engineer.
- Graduate degree is a plus.
Essentail Skills:
- Significant team leadership experience
- Extensive experience in Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Design, and EPC projects
- Excellent ability in client handling
- Proficient in using Ceasar II, Autopipe, AGA PRCI, Offpipe, MathCad, Orcaflex, AutoCAD, and SAGE.
- Proficient in the use of general computer programs such as MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent Problem Solving, Planning and organizing skills
- A high level of autonomy and self-efficiency with attention to details
- Result oriented and schedule driven
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera is a plus.
