Job Position: Private Chef
Locations: Abuja (FCT) & Lagos

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Private Chef to provide personalized, high-quality meals for a private household.

The ideal candidate must be well-versed in a variety of cuisines and capable of creating delicious, healthy, and beautifully presented dishes.

Experience in catering to dietary needs and maintaining kitchen excellence is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) based on household preferences.
  2. Cook a variety of cuisines (Continental, African, Asian, or others as preferred).
  3. Shop for groceries and ingredients or manage kitchen inventory and ordering.
  4. Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and all cooking equipment.
  5. Cater for special occasions, events, or guests hosted by the family.
  6. Adjust meals for dietary requirements (e.g., low-sodium, vegetarian, gluten-free).
  7. Maintain a meal calendar in consultation with the household.
  8. Handle food storage, rotation, and stock control.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a professional or private chef.
  2. Culinary certification or professional chef training is highly desirable.
  3. Proven ability to prepare varied, flavorful, and well-balanced meals.
  4. Deep knowledge of food safety, storage, and sanitation.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Discretion, reliability, and high standards of professionalism.
  7. Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Preferred Qualities:

  1. Experience in a high-profile or expatriate home.
  2. Passionate about food presentation and creativity.
  3. Willingness to travel with the family (optional).
  4. Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Salary
N180,000 – N400,000 Monthly.
