Job Position: Procurement Assistant

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • You will be responsible for assisting in all procurement activities.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Conducting market surveys to get current market prices
  2. Sourcing of materials needed for all operational needs
  3. Purchase items at the best competitive prices without compromising quality
  4. Identify purchasing needs
  5. Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiates better prices
  6. Prepare cost analyses
  7. Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
  8. Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of Second-Class Upper Degree in any Social Science related courses
  2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  3. Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Computer literate with proficiency in the use of MS-office
  5. Good bargaining skills
  6. Familiar with the Oil Industry Market and Mechanical Spares
  7. Applicants MUST be residents in Port Harcourt.
