Job Position: Procurement Finance Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Procurement Finance Officer to support our procurement and finance operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Verifying and confirming that all prices of items requested or purchased are accurate, competitive and properly approved.
  2. Reviewing vendor quotations, invoices, purchase orders and supporting documents for correctness and compliance with company standards.
  3. Ensuring cost-saving measures are incorporated into procurement activities.
  4. Supporting procurement processes by validating pricing, quantities and vendor details before final approval.
  5. Maintaining an updated database of vendor price lists and market rates.
  6. Identifying price discrepancies and escalating issues for prompt resolution.
  7. Collaborating with the Procurement and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of purchasing activities.
  8. Assisting in the reconciliation of procurement transactions and expenditure reports.
  9. Participating in vendor evaluation and maintaining proper procurement documentation.

Requirements

  1. HND / B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any related field with a minimum qualification of Upper Credit or Second Class Upper Division.
  2. Prior experience in procurement finance, accounts or relevant operations is an added advantage.
  3. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  4. Sound understanding of pricing verification and basic procurement procedures.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting tools.
  6. Strong communication, documentation and coordination skills.
  7. Ability to work with accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
