Job Position: Procurement Officer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Overseeing and supervising all purchasing activities.
  2. Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
  3. Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  4. Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  5. Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
  6. Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
  7. Managing purchased inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  8. Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  9. Implements the technical purchases sourcing process including supplier selection, risk mitigation, and contract execution.
  10. Evaluates suppliers’ offers in terms of the commercial and technical requirements.
  11. Conducts on‐the‐ground inspection of parts and materials.
  12. Coordinates purchasing activities with other departments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Background is required.
  • 3-5 years working in the same position in an organisation offering similar services.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
