Job Position: Procurement Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Procurement Officer who will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create RFQs and POs on the ERP platform (Odoo).
  2. Communicate Purchase Order with vendors to determine terms and availability of goods/services.
  3. Track pending orders assigned to vendors.
  4. Track vendor payment with the Account unit.
  5. Carryout supplier’s core competence assessment and evaluate performance.
  6. Source for better and alternative cost to what is currently being gotten from existing vendors.
  7. Negotiate vendor’s quote.
  8. Vendor management.
  9. Track delivery of imported orders with the clearing agent.
  10. Generate and analyze spend reports as may be required.
  11. Carry out other Procurement/Supply Chain functions that may be assigned.
  12. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  13. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  14. Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements
What You’ll Need:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Experience in the Procurement/Supply Chain space.
  3. Experience in Importation will be an added advantage.
  4. Minimum of 2+ years working experience
  5. Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g.Odoo)
  6. Understanding of supply chain procedures
  7. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  8. Negotiation skills
  9. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  10. Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
