Job Position: Global Procurement Representative

Job Location: Ikotun, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assures supply and quality
  2. Sources – Packaging, Grains, Flour, Oils, Ingredients (Local and Imported)
  3. Supports local business to solve any supply issues. Understands and manages the category contract requirements related to supply chain
  4. Build Sourcing/Procurement AOP  (Volumes, Price, Spend and Productivity)
  5. Supports the execution of change projects that are required to deliver productivity targets or support market innovation
  6. Supports the execution of local category strategies that create competitive advantage for the business
  7. Understands the KPI’s of local suppliers in terms of service, quality, and productivity and provides actionable data to MSO / COE Category leads and buyers to drive supplier performance
  8. Supports the MSO / COE Category Lead in the execution of local key productivity initiatives
  9. Analyzes the financial implications of local business strategies related to Innovation and Base Business execution and supply chain initiatives and provides actionable insight to ensure appropriate trade-off decisions
  10. Executes aligned global procurement sub categories strategies, to create competitive advantages
  11. Builds local network to ensure global strategy meets local needs “think globally, act locally”
  12. Informs and provides feedback about market and/or category insights
  13. Supports the development of a competitive supplier landscape through effective execution of SRM
  14. Delivers productivity and cash flow targets to deliver business plan
  15. Risk Management and BCP
  16. Executes Localization strategy across all categories

Job Requirements

  1. Tertiary qualification (Procurement, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain)
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/ Finance/Business Roles
  3. Computer literacy
  4. Category Knowledge and Strategy Development
  5. Negotiation and Commercial Contracting
  6. Commodity Playbook Development and Risk Management
  7. Complex Business Resolution and Supplier Conflict Resolution
  8. Influencing and Communicating
  9. Legal Control and Application (Transalet Commercial terms into contracts)
  10. Productivity Management
  11. Supplier Negotiations and Supplier Relationship Management
  12. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  13. RFP/ RFQ
  14. Analytics and Modeling
  15. Ability to work in a pressurised environment
  16. Strong administration skills.
