Job Position: Senior Procurement Specialist
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage the entire procurement process, from item sourcing, and vendor selection to contract negotiation and project management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Analyse market trends and risks to make informed purchasing decisions.
Job Requirements
- 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, vendor management and tender management
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in the oil and gas or energy sector is required.
- Good knowledge of tender management on NIPEX and ARIBA portals
- Proven experience in managing large-scale procurement projects.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage.
