Job Position: Procurement Specialist
Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and submit proposals, seek competitive quotes, and negotiate favourable purchasing terms.
  2. Assess what goods and services the organisation needs to procure.
  3. Develop and maintain strategic supplier connections to ensure dependable and high-quality supply.
  4. Track inventory levels and oversee timely restocking.
  5. Engage in contract negotiations with suppliers to obtain favourable terms and conditions.
  6. Prepare, review, and process purchasing documents for supplies and equipment procurement.
  7. Review and interpret key performance data to optimise operations and minimise costs.
  8. Create procurement frameworks and ensure strong, reliable relationships with suppliers.
  9. Oversee procurement quality to ensure all items meet expected standards and technical specifications.
  10. Ensure quality control in procurement to verify that all items meet organisational standards and specifications.
  11. Maintain up-to-date procurement policies by conducting periodic reviews and modifications.
  12. Establish risk controls within supplier contracts to minimise potential disruptions.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, with proven expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  3. Candidates must be proficient in using the Shell Ariba and Chevron Smart procurement platforms.
  4. Expert in procurement and sourcing, with a sharp understanding of market behaviour and supplier dynamics.
  5. Strong negotiation and networking skills, with the ability to build strategic supplier relationships and secure favourable terms.
  6. Proficient in using supplier and third-party management software to streamline procurement processes and vendor oversight.
  7. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a high level of numerical proficiency.
  8. Proven experience in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support informed business decisions.
  9. Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.

Salary
N150,000- N200,000 monthly.
