Our programs promote financial inclusion and advance education and learning in Africa, primarily for young people, and in Canada for Indigenous youth. The Foundation was established in 2006 through the generosity of Mastercard when it became a public company. From inception, the Foundation was designed to be a separate entity and independent from Mastercard. Our policies, operations, and funding decisions are made by our President and Board of Directors.

Job Position: Specialist, Product Management – Cross Border Services

Job Description
- The Specialist, Product Management, Network Partnerships Cross Border Payments will assist in the management of the Mastercard Cross Border Services (MA XBS) partner network, comprised of partners such banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) in West Africa.
- Manages existing direct/indirect connections to clearings and partner relationships, while also expanding the network in line with strategic network objectives, task, and targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all MA XBS cash pick-up transactions network and partnerships, and last mile connectivity into West Africa.
- Assist in driving the expansion and improvement of the MA XBS West Africa Network in line with the network strategic objectives.
- Assist in identifying for consideration opportunities for direct participation in payment schemes in collaboration with the relevant Mastercard Transaction Services teams and support expansion of the cash pick-up transactions in West Africa.
- Assist in ensuring redundancy throughout the network in key markets of operations and resolve issues around cash payout transactions network.
- Support the regional stakeholders and the Transfer Solutions commercialization team to ensure with market insight and developments, inspection of partner branches with the aim of maintaining the relationship at all time.
- Assist in navigating across cultures, geographies and leverage strong relationships with key groups across Mastercard.
- Assist in driving institutionalized knowledge with consistent documentation (e.g., support documents) across all processes to support knowledge management, ensure consistency and repeatability across projects
- Assist in relationship management with existing partners, follow up financial, operational performance, coordinates and ensure brandings in all key partner locations through collaborating with MA marketing and communication team.
- Assist in regular request of due diligence documents from partners to be submitted to internal teams as requested and ensure smooth payout of cash transactions by supporting customer service representatives were necessary.
- Stay up to date with relevant payment (scheme-) evolutions and trends in the covered region.
