Job Position: Product Manager
Job Location: Lagos (Remote)
Job Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Strive to deeply understand user needs by conducting user research and identifying opportunities and pain points. And advocate for user needs through the cycle of building products.
- Define, document, and drive roadmaps, project plans, and precise product specifications that consistently deliver quality products for your customers.
- Work with a team of engineers and designers to discover solutions to customer pain points and build and launch products for local and global businesses.
- Ensure successful product launches by working cross-functionally with marketing, merchant success, sales, operations, legal, and compliance teams.
- Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Head of Product.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in product management, with demonstrated experience in successfully building and shipping impactful products in the financial services space.
- You have a good understanding of how software is built and operated and experience in building technical software products.
- Excellent ability to bring clarity and focus to complex and ambiguous situations
- Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and lead teams – Product roles bring responsibility without direct authority. We’re looking for leaders who can motivate and earn the trust of stakeholders and teams with a collaborative approach.
- Project Management skills – Previous experience seeing projects through from beginning to end and owning the entire process;
- Curiosity and drive
- Great attention to detail and cares about building quality products
Working hours:
- Given that we are an all-remote company and hire almost anywhere in the world, we don’t have a location requirement for this role. However, your working hours must coincide with 9:00 am – 5:00 pm WAT for at least 40 hours/week.

- [60m] Live Case Interview (Product Management team) – We proceed to evaluate your ability to understand the user, understand the problem, find a solution and execute your plan based on the take-home assessment/project.
- [60m] Product Interview with the hiring manager – At this stage, we aim to give you more information about the role and assess your fit for the role based on your experience building products.
- [60m] Cultural Fit Interview (Our Core Values) – At this stage, you’ll engage in a conversation with Kora’s Head of People and Culture, and the Head of Product Management. The aim is to understand you better and assess the alignment of your beliefs and values with Kora’s distinctive culture. We’d like to emphasize that there are no right or wrong answers expected. However, we encourage you to maintain a positive attitude during this session.
