Job Position: Product / Project Manager

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Carve out and maintain the vision for the product, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  2. Prioritize and develop new features, collaborating with designers and engineers to bring these to life.
  3. Dive into market trends to keep the product ahead of the curve.
  4. Work closely with marketing and sales teams to craft and execute the go-to-market strategy, and ensure they understand the product’s features and benefits.
  5. Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously refine the product.
  6. Utilize excellent communication and problem-solving skills to guide company strategy, helping to attract and retain customers.
  7. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  8. Maintain awareness of team deadlines and set realistic budgets.
  9. Focus on satisfying clients through excellent project management practices.

Job Requirements

  1. Demonstrate exceptional leadership, problem-solving, empathy, negotiation, adaptability, and conflict-resolution skills. Understand the technical requirements of the projects, including code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment.
  2. Product Lifecycle Management: Map out each phase of the product’s development – planning, execution, and evaluation.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Understand the tech behind the product to collaborate effectively with the engineering team.
  4. UX Design Principles: Ensure the product is user-friendly and enjoyable for customers.
  5. Data Analytics: Use tools like Excel to analyze data and adjust product strategy.
  6. Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure the product meets legal standards.
  7. Budget Management: Manage product finances to keep development within budget.
  8. Leadership: Guide teams through the product’s journey, inspiring everyone to achieve a common goal.
  9. Problem-Solving: Creatively tackles daily hurdles, manages resources, and resolves stakeholder tensions.
  10. Empathy: Understand and meet customer needs.
  11. Negotiation: Secure necessary resources or timelines.
  12. Adaptability: Stay relevant as consumer tastes and market conditions change.
  13. Conflict Resolution: Handle unexpected tensions between teammates to keep development moving smoothly.
