Job Position: Product Manager

Job Location: Benin City, Edo

Job Description

  • This role is tasked with working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and launch software products that meet customer needs, are delivered on time and within budget, and are aligned with the company’s overall goals.

Job Responsibilities
As a Product Manager, your responsibilities will be to:

  1. Identify new product opportunities and conduct market research
  2. Communicate and manage product vision and strategy
  3. Create and manage product roadmaps
  4. Translate product strategy into market requirement documents and product requirement documents (with prioritised features and corresponding justifications where necessary)
  5. Drive product releases and feature implementation by working closely with engineering as well as design teams to ensure products aligned to customer needs are delivered as at when due
  6. Analyse product performance and customer feedback to inform product development decisions
  7. Utilise strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to interact with all stakeholders (including senior management) regarding status/progress of multiple concurrent projects
  8. Act as a product evangelist both internally and externally with customers/partners
  9. Formulate marketing and sales strategy with colleagues and other stakeholders
  10. Effectively measure success through the development of metrics and reports

Job Requirements
You would be a good fit if you have:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Previous work experience (at least 4 years) in a product manager role
  3. Worked in a startup or fast-paced environment
  4. A high sense of accountability/responsibility
  5. Great interpersonal and people management skills, love working collaboratively
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. The ability to converse fluently with engineers about technology as well as with clients and users   about business needs and objectives
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  9. A knack for continuous growth, learning and knowledge sharing
  10. A commitment to a process for extracting answers out of ambiguous questions and situations
  11. An urgency to unblock yourself and others to deliver results when carrying out tasks
  12. Strong attention to minute detail – i.e. sweats the small stuff such as font types, alignment, UI, UX (you get our drift!).
