Job Position: Production Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. The ideal candidate will own the entire production process.
  2. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
  3. This role is to organize and oversee the manufacturing of furniture products.
  4. They will also run quality assessment to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  2. Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  3. Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  4. Monitor production to resolve issues
  5. Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
  6. Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
  7. Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
  8. Ensure output meets quality standards
  9. Enforce health and safety precautions
  10. Report to Management.

Job Requirements

  1. First Degree in Wood Product Engineering or Wood Technology or Architecture
  2. Proven experience as production supervisor
  3. Deep knowledge of Furniture production management
  4. Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  5. Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  6. Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  7. Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  8. Outstanding communication ability
  9. Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  10. Attention to detail
  11. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  12. Strong organizational and managerial skills.
