Job Position: Programmes Associate Producer
Job Location: Ogba, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- To assist producer co-ordinate and research for shows
- Report to the Producer for daily job tasks
- Write scripts for the show
- Prepare and stack the show rundown
- Write and post daily on our social media outlets(Very important)
- Prep guests for their LIVE segments.
- Work closely with clients to better produce their segments.
- Time the Show so that each guest has enough time to deliver their message within a timely manner.
- Help with line producing.
- Help with on-location shoots.
- Help with editing when needed.
- Assist in booking visually engaging segments for the show.
- Providing new ideas to incorporate into the show.
- Work with show producers to write voiceovers, manage live shots, handle guest segments and write snappy teases.
- Create production elements for scripts, including tape and graphics.
- Identify News, select video and sound bites, oversee editing, conduct interviews and write stories for television and the Internet.
- Be available to work weekdays and shifts.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS in Journalism, Communications or related field
- 1-3 Years of experience producing LIVE TV
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Good knowledge of television production techniques, both studio-based and in the field
- Knows how to stack a rundown for broadcast.
- Creative writer who can write scripts for television that’s informative, conversational, and enticing to our viewers.
- Energetic and friendly personality.
- Available to work weekdays and shifts sometimes later if need be, and available for station weekend events as well.
- Organization skills.
- The ability to work under constant deadlines.
- Ability to calmly handle live TV situations and changing events.
- Can multi-task under pressure.
- Demonstrated social media proficiency, especially in the field, including an active, strong presence on Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Utilising social media pages to promote the News Central brand.
