Job Position: Project Engineer (High Rise Building Civil & Structural Works)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, construction manager, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all requirements and specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
  3. Review and approve project plans, specifications, and contracts
  4. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements
  5. Ensuring regulatory compliance
  6. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
  7. Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management
  8. Manage project risks and identify opportunities for improvement
  9. Provide technical support to project team members
  10. Ensure quality control and quality assurance for all project deliverables
  11. Lead project meetings and facilitate communication among team members
  12. Assessing the suitability of a construction site
  13. Protecting the environment during construction
  14. Preparing cost estimates and bids
  15. Using software to create 3D models of bridges, dams, homes, buildings and airports

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. A Post graduate in Engineering or management is an advantage

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management

Skills Required:

  1. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
  2. Excellent communication and leadership skills
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  4. Proficiency in project management software and tools
  5. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  6. Experience in managing large-scale construction projects and high rise building projects
  7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
  8. Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  9. Experience in managing and supervising construction teams
  10. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
