Job Position: Project Manager
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering and procurement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure the successful execution of projects. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  2. Project Execution and Monitoring: Oversee project execution, ensuring milestones are met and projects stay on track. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  3. Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of materials.
  4. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams. Provide regular project updates and address any issues or concerns.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects are completed to the highest quality standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  6. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure costs are within approved limits. Prepare cost estimates and financial reports as needed.
  7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Ensure project risks are communicated to stakeholders and addressed appropriately.
  8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and change requests. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering and/or procurement projects.
  4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  7. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
