Job Position: Project Manager – Water Projects

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development and management of water projects.
  2. As a Project Manager specializing in water projects, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of water-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in managing complex water projects and a track record of delivering results within budget and timeline constraints.

Job Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:

  1. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  2. Execute projects according to the project plan, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:

  1. Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  2. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Stakeholder Management:

  1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
  2. Effectively communicate project progress and address stakeholder concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Risk Management:

  1. Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Proactively manage unforeseen challenges and changes to project scope.

Budget and Resource Management:

  1. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  2. Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Project Manager with a focus on water projects, with a minimum of [X] years of successful project management.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of water management principles and practices.
  2. Familiarity with relevant software and tools for project management.

Communication Skills:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications:

  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
