Job Position: Public Relation and Event Manager

Job Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Description

  1. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Public Relations (PR) Manager to organize and oversee PR activities and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media and the public.
  2. As a PR Manager, you should be an organized and cool-tempered professional who is able to handle and manage crisis professionally.
  3. We expect you to have a creative mind and excellent communication skills.
  4. If you are confident in your public speaking and project management abilities, we’d like to meet you.
  5. Your goal will be to cultivate a positive company image.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage branding and communications.
  2. Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing) and maintain open communication with senior management
  4. Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.
  5. Prepare and distribute press releases.
  6. Organize PR events and serve as the company’s spokesperson.
  7. Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising.
  8. Create a theme, find vendors and appropriate location for the event.
  9. Propose budget and estimate costs for the event.
  10. Promote the event through various channels.
  11. Negotiating sponsorship deals.
  12. Develop event feedback surveys.
  13. Handling post-event reports.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality Management or any related field.
  2. Communication and marketing skills.
  3. Creativity and problem-solving aptitude.
  4. Project management experience.
  5. Good leadership skills.
  6. Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print).
  7. Background in researching, writing and editing publications.
  8. Proficient in MS Office and social media.
  9. Strong communication ability (oral and written).
  10. Excellent organizational skills.
  11. Ability to multitask and work under pressure
