Job Position: QA Engineer

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

1. We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
2. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.
3. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
2. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
3. Monitor debugging process results
4. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
5. Test current products and identify deficiencies
6. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
7. Develop and monitor performance metrics for all stages of the production process
8. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure consistent project execution
9. Plan, create, and manage the overall quality planning strategy
10. Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
11. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Job Requirements

1. Have basic programming skills in one or more of these programming languages: Java, Javascript; Python; C#
2. Have strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
3. Have a basic understanding of API Automation, with 1-2 years of experience
4. Have experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
5. Have hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
6. Have Experienced with either Cypress or Selenium Webdriver
7. Have experience with Postman
8. Have experience with AzureDevOps or Bitbucket
9. Have hands-on experience with automated testing tools
10. Have solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
11. Have experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
12. Have experience with performance and/or security testing
13. Have a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success

16. Have good time-management skills
