MKOBO is a fully licensed Microfinance bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Lagos, Nigeria. MKOBO was conceived to help solve consumers’ need for access to short-term emergency credit. Our goal is to provide access to short term unsecured loans, which is easily accessible. We cater to the demography currently undeserved by the Commercial banks in our aim to help increase financial inclusion of the Nigerian population.

Job Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
  2. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  3. Monitor debugging process results
  4. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  5. Test current products and identify deficiencies
  6. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  7. Develop and monitor performance metrics for all stages of the production process
  8. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure consistent project execution
  9. Plan, create and manage the overall quality planning strategy
  10. Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
  11. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  12. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  13. Leverage automation capability for API testing
  14. Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  15. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  16. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  17. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  18. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  19. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  20. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  21. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  22. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  2. Minimum of 3+ years experience as QA Software Engineer
  3. Familiar with native Android and IOS development frameworks
  4. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  5. Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance
  6. Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  7. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  8. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  9. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  10. Experience with performance and/or security testing
  11. Know and understand the rules of creating a good API, how http works, and how to create JSON/XML files.
  12. Proven work experience in the  use of  tools that are good for particular test tasks (Charles, Postman, JMeter, etc.)
