Job Position: Receptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a smart, courteous, and well-presented Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests at our establishment. The ideal candidate will handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth. This role is key to creating a lasting first impression and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Greet all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  2. Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the hotel management system.
  3. Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries regarding bookings, services, and facilities.
  4. Manage room and table reservations accurately and promptly.
  5. Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area.
  6. Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments for smooth guest service.
  7. Handle customer complaints or issues politely and escalate when necessary.
  8. Maintain records of guest stays, payments, and ID documentation.
  9. Assist with billing, cash handling, and reporting duties.

Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
  2. Prior experience as a receptionist, front desk agent, or guest service personnel is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in basic computer operations; knowledge of hotel reservation software is a plus.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Friendly, professional appearance and demeanour.
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure.
  7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  8. Basic knowledge of hospitality services and guest management.
