Job Position: Recruitment Specialist
Location: Abuja (FCT)

About the Role

Our client, a reputable player in the power sector, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recruitment Specialist to join their team in Abuja. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying and engaging top experts to maintaining long-term professional relationships.

This role focuses on sourcing and managing experts in the consulting, energy, environment, and sustainability sectors, while working closely with project managers to ensure top-quality talent acquisition for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Job Responsibilities
Expert Management:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to identify, recruit, and retain qualified experts.
  2. Represent the company at events, fairs, and conferences to strengthen the expert network.
  3. Advise project managers on recruitment strategies and expert engagement.
  4. Maintain and update the internal expert database.
  5. Build and sustain long-term relationships with professionals in relevant fields.

Project Acquisition:

  1. Analyse project Terms of Reference (ToR) and match requirements with expert profiles.
  2. Source, preselect, and interview top candidates through multiple channels, including social media, networking, and direct outreach.
  3. Evaluate CVs, negotiate terms, and prepare documentation for proposals.
  4. Ensure compliance with donor requirements and labour regulations.
  5. Adjust expert CVs for project proposals to highlight relevant skills and experience.

Project Implementation:

  1. Coordinate expert mobilisation (travel, visa, insurance, accommodation).
  2. Manage contracting and onboarding of both short-term and long-term experts.
  3. Provide continuous engagement and support for deployed experts.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
  2. 4–5 years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably within the energy, environment, or consulting sectors.
  3. Experience with donor-funded projects (e.g., EU, GIZ, World Bank) is a strong advantage.
  4. Proven ability in active sourcing, interviewing, and expert relationship management.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong command of Microsoft Word (for CV formatting), Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with ATS systems is a plus.
  7. Fluency in English required; French or German is an advantage.
  8. Willingness to travel when required.
  9. High cultural awareness and adaptability in dealing with international professionals.

Salary
N500,000 per month.
