Job Position: Regional Sales Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales operations and business development efforts within the assigned region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Executives (BDEs), overseeing POS terminal deployment, ensuring merchant activation, and achieving transaction targets through strategic field execution and performance management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage a team of BDMs and BDEs to onboard and activate high-potential merchants for POS deployment.
  2. Ensure the team meets monthly/quarterly targets for merchant onboarding, POS deployment, and transaction volumes.
  3. Evaluate merchant potential and guide the team to deploy POS terminals only to merchants capable of meeting set transaction benchmarks.
  4. Oversee daily field activities, including merchant visits, transaction monitoring, and issue resolution.
  5. Ensure swift resolution of escalated merchant complaints and technical issues by the team.
  6. Track merchant performance and transaction intensity, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  7. Supervise the visibility and installation of branding materials at merchant locations.
  8. Personally visit key merchant locations regularly to ensure compliance with operational standards and optimal use of POS terminals.
  9. Identify and implement new strategies and initiatives to grow market share and improve merchant engagement in the region.
  10. Prepare and deliver periodic performance reports and market insights to senior management.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field.
  2. 5 – 8 years’ experience in agency banking, merchant services, or POS-based sales operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or regional role.
  3. Strong leadership, people management, and field operations oversight skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  5. Proficiency in Excel and basic data analysis for performance tracking.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  7. Ownership of an Android smartphone is mandatory.
  8. Customer-focused mindset with adaptability to diverse personalities.
  9. Self-motivated and highly accountable with a passion for growth.

Salary
N500,000 – N600,000 / Month.
