Job Position: Relationship Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Brief

We are seeking a highly driven and customer-focused Relationship Officer with strong accounting and sales experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate must have previously worked in a finance, microfinance, or related financial institution and possess excellent communication, analytical, and client-management skills.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to drive business growth.
  2. Identify client needs and recommend suitable financial products and services.
  3. Manage client accounts, ensuring proper documentation, timely updates, and compliance with internal policies.
  4. Conduct account reviews, track client transactions, and ensure proper reconciliation in line with accounting standards.
  5. Drive sales targets by actively sourcing new clients and promoting company financial products.
  6. Provide excellent customer service, resolve client issues promptly, and escalate complex concerns when necessary.
  7. Prepare financial reports, sales updates, and client engagement summaries for management review.
  8. Support credit assessment processes, including data collection, preliminary analysis, and follow-up with clients.
  9. Collaborate with internal teams such as credit, finance, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 2–3 years proven experience in a financial institution (finance, microfinance, banking, or related sector).
  3. Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret financial statements.
  4. Demonstrated sales experience with a track record of meeting targets.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong interpersonal and client-relationship management skills.
  7. Good understanding of financial products, credit processes, and customer service practices.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  9. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  10. Proximity to Location is Key.

Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
