Job Position: Research Development Chef (RDC)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation, Research Development Chef. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting consumer testing and taste panels for proposed new products.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Formulating new recipes and improving existing ones
  2. Recommending new products and working with new product development staff to transform food concepts into viable products
  3. Liaising with colleagues in the commercial, production and technical departments
  4. Liaising with suppliers to ensure that your company is aware of new ingredients coming onto the market
  5. Identifying market niches and opportunities into which existing products could be adapted and new products developed.
  6. Conducting consumer testing and taste panels for proposed new products
  7. Presenting new products to potential trade customers
  8. Ensuring that potential new products can be manufactured meet food safety requirements
  9. Evaluating the success of new products in their markets
  10. Continuously researching the market and staying ahead of consumer trends

Job Requirements

  1. At least a certificate in Catering Management
  2. Minimum of 3 years related experience
  3. Proven working experience as a Chef
  4. Excellent record of kitchen management
  5. Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  6. Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  7. Communication and leadership skills
  8. Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  9. Applicant shouldn’t be other than 28 years
  10. Ability to read, write and use the Social Handles.
