Job Description
- As a Sales Admin Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the smooth functioning of sales operations.
- Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing administrative tasks, providing technical support, and coordinating with various internal teams to facilitate the sales process.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining sales documentation, including proposals, quotations, contracts, and customer records.
- Organize and manage sales-related databases, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Coordinate with other administrative staff to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance to the sales team and customers regarding product specifications, features, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical experts to address customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions.
- Assist in processing sales orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of order details.
- Coordinate with various departments, such as inventory and logistics, to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing technical questions and concerns.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the sales team to provide timely updates and resolutions.
- Generate regular sales reports and analytics to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing sales forecasts and contribute to sales planning initiatives.
- Support sales team members in coordinating meetings, customer visits, and sales events.
- Maintain sales calendars and schedules, ensuring efficient time management for the sales team.
- Maintain and update customer and prospect databases with accurate and relevant information.
- Help identify and qualify leads for the sales team.
- Stay informed about the company’s products and services, keeping up to date with technical specifications and developments.
- Communicate product updates and changes to the sales team and customers as necessary.
- Assist in managing customer relationships by ensuring prompt and professional communication.
- Support efforts to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients.
Job Requirements
Competency / Skill / Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in sales support, administrative support, or a related role.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide exceptional support to customers and the sales team.
- Familiarity with CRM software or sales management tools is a plus.
