Job Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Business Development Officer to join our team on a contract basis.
- This is a hybrid role offering a flexible work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site client visits and meetings as required.
- This role requires an energetic individual with strong communication and organizational skills to drive sales growth and create meaningful collaborations.
- The successful candidate will focus on building and maintaining B2B and B2C client relationships, including businesses in the HoReCa sector, supermarkets, and strategic partners such as gyms and wellness centers.
- The ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas, explore new markets, and drive both direct sales and partnerships to increase Veggie World’s market presence.
Job Responsibilities
Sales and Client Acquisition:
- Identify, approach, and secure partnerships with B2B clients (e.g., HoReCa, supermarkets, caterers) and strategic B2C partners.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for direct sales, promotions, and collaborations, including with gyms and wellness-focused organizations.
Market Outreach and Awareness:
- Create brand visibility through in-person visits, outreach campaigns, and strategic collaborations.
- Represent Veggie World at client locations and events to promote products and build awareness.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle client inquiries or concerns professionally.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Explore and execute innovative opportunities for collaboration with B2C-focused businesses to grow awareness and sales.
Reporting and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the VP of Supply Chain to align sales efforts with supply availability.
- Collect data and provide feedback on market trends, customer preferences, and potential challenges to improve product offerings and strategies.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with B2B and B2C sales models.
- Understanding of the Lagos market, particularly Eti-Osa and its environs (spanning Victoria Island, Lekki, and Ajah).
