Job Position: Sales Engineer (Pumps)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. The Sales Engineer is responsible for the development and growth of the customer base in Nigeria; including the management of the existing customers by ensuring that engagement and patronage is improved.
  2. The Sales Manager will be charged with maintaining old and developing new relationships with dealers, to effectively contribute to the success and growth of our client.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Service, maintain, and grow our customer base in Nigeria
  2. Improve overall performance in sales, marketing, and customer service in the territory
  3. Manage sales pipeline, forecast quarterly sales, and identify new business opportunities
  4. Collaborate with sales team to meet set sales target
  5. Sales and marketing of the Company’s Pumps to the various market sectors with a special focus in Water/Waste Water, Mining; Oil & Gas, Industry, Energy and Building Services.
  6. Continuous training on products and applications to Dealers’ sales personnel
  7. Manage and motivate all Dealers and maintain a high standard of support to enable market growth
  8. Ensure that Customer Relationship Management system C4C is always kept up to date with accurate customer information, customer contacts, construction sites, opportunities, and tender information
  9. Liaise with head of segments and other departments to improve customer satisfaction and service levels
  10. Prepare, produce, and issue reports, documents, and briefing papers according to set deadlines
  11. Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Diploma in Engineering, Sales, or any related field.
  • 5-7 years of work experience with minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in pumps sales
  • Proven background in Engineering preferably Mechanical/Instrumentation
  • Excellent market knowledge in Nigeria
  • SAP and other IT experience
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interface effectively with stakeholders
  • Management skills with proven ability to lead a team
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Must be able to work with tight deadlines and prioritize without sacrificing quality of work
  • The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled, sales and service engineer with great marketing skills.
