Job Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive to join our client’s publishing company.
- The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in our client’s team, and their responsibilities extend beyond traditional sales.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive and effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market reach. Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with broader marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a range of new and existing customers including bookstores, libraries, bricks and online retailers, institutional buyers, and distribution partners.
- Collaborate with authors to promote their works and engage with their audience through author events, book tours, and media appearances.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competition, and reader preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets while maintaining profitability and cost control.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in publishing or a related industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of book distribution, retailer relationships, and market trends.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue
- Strong organizational, and time-management skills, independent and a team player
- A passion for books and deep knowledge of the publishing industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed and attend industry events
