Job Description 

  1. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive to join our client’s publishing company.
  2. The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in our client’s team, and their responsibilities extend beyond traditional sales.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive and effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market reach. Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with broader marketing and promotional initiatives.
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a range of new and existing customers including bookstores, libraries, bricks and online retailers, institutional buyers, and distribution partners.
  3. Collaborate with authors to promote their works and engage with their audience through author events, book tours, and media appearances.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competition, and reader preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  5. Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets while maintaining profitability and cost control.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in publishing or a related industry
  3. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Knowledge of book distribution, retailer relationships, and market trends.
  5. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue
  6. Strong organizational, and time-management skills, independent and a team player
  7. A passion for books and deep knowledge of the publishing industry
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  9. Willingness to travel as needed and attend industry events
