Job Position: Area Sales Manager

Job Location: Akure, Ondo

Job Description

  • We are looking to employ a driven and experienced Area Sales Manager to increase sales within an assigned geographical area and guide a team of Field Sales Executives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining and increasing sales of your company’s products
  2. Good experience in Sell-in and Sell-out
  3. Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
  4. Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base
  5. Servicing the needs of your existing customers
  6. Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
  7. Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
  8. Recruiting and training sales staff
  9. Allocating areas to sales representatives
  10. Developing sales strategies and setting targets
  11. Monitoring your team’s performance and motivating them to reach targets
  12. Compiling and analysing sales figures
  13. Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts yourself
  14. Collecting customer feedback and market research
  15. Reporting to senior managers
  16. Initiating and executing primary and secondary sales plans
  17. Keeping up to date with products and competitors
  18. Developing and sustaining long-term relationships with customers.
  19. Implementing a sales management process to assist the sales team in identifying and prioritizing key customers and prospects.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc., HND or MBA in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or related field is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 8 years related experience
  3. Proven sales experience; sector-specific sales experience is preferred.
  4. Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
  5. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Excellent management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  9. Effective communication skills.
  10. Exceptional customer service skills.
  11. Experience in a reputable FMCG is added advantage
  12. Experience in Van sales and sales promoters’ management
  13. Must be residing within the state or have previous work experience in the state to be eligible for this job position.
