Job Description
The LibertyLife Sales Officer is responsible for driving the field-based sales of LibertyLife’s insurance products to individuals, groups, and SMEs. This role requires a proactive and performance-driven sales professional capable of closing high volumes of insurance enrollments and contributing significantly to the company’s ₦100M offline monthly sales target. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, persuasive, and passionate about expanding access to affordable insurance solutions.
Role Responsibilities
Field Sales & Customer Acquisition
- Drive insurance product sales through field activities, community engagements, and door-to-door.
- Engage, educate, and enrol prospects on LibertyLife health, life, and microinsurance plans.
- Consistently meet personal sales quota, contributing to the ₦100M monthly offline sales goal.
- Onboard at least 50 new customers monthly through direct field sales.
Customer Activation & Support
- Ensure newly enrolled customers activate their policies and understand coverage benefits.
- Assist customers with premium payment options and policy documentation.
- Provide post-enrollment support and education to foster long-term retention.
- Maintain strong follow-up to ensure renewals and satisfaction.
Territory Management & Outreach
- Cover assigned territories effectively, maximising high-potential areas.
- Conduct street activations, local market engagement, and community health talks.
- Identify clusters for mass policy enrollments (e.g., artisans, cooperatives, trade groups).
- Refer high-performing community members for potential reseller roles.
Performance Reporting & Tracking
- Maintain accurate daily records of customers, conversions, and collections.
- Use CRM or mobile tools to update sales activities and outcomes.
- Participate in weekly review meetings with the team lead to track targets and optimise strategy.
Complusory Requirements
- Customer onboarding: ≥ 50 active policies/month
- Activation rate: ≥ 90% of new enrollees activated within 7 days
- Policy renewals: ≥ 80% renewal rate after 3 months
- Field coverage: Assigned territory covered ≥ 90% weekly
- Sales accuracy: All customer data is properly captured and submitted
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field sales, insurance, microfinance, or financial services
- Track record of meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets.
- Fluency in English and at least one local language is required.
- A minimum of an OND and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or social sciences is an advantage.
