Job Description

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, lending reconciliation, and payment processing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fintech, lending, and payments, with a strong background in financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage lending operations accounting, including loan disbursements, repayments, and interest calculations.
  • Monitor payment reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in transaction processing.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial audits, and statutory filings.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize lending and payment operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on lending and payment systems.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN, CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, especially in fintech and lending.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and accounting tools.
  • Experience with loan reconciliation, payment gateway accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced fintech environment and handle multiple responsibilities.

Salary
N600,000 – N800,000
