Job Position: Senior Analyst – Data Management & Operations
Job Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We are looking for a Data Management Analyst to analyze, interpret, and document business processes, products, services, and technology.
- Maintain and govern the Master and other Data records by ensuring qualitative and consistent data management, in line with the organisation’s data management strategy, policies and objectives, in order to support and improve business and related technology processes.
- Ensure that the data is understood, used and shared effectively, meeting quality and integrity standards.
- The role operates cross domain, overseeing dependencies, and collaborating with data stewards, product teams and network stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
The role’s key responsibilities are:
- Maintain and safeguard documentation on procedures and standards for data management and governance.
- Create and maintain Master Data records in accordance with the organisation’s process standards, data standards, policies and objectives. This includes enriching the Master Data with data from sources in- and outside the organisation.
- Act as the contact point for the operating unit and partners for Master Data questions/requests
- Lead the solving of data issues within the organisational systems, proactively and reactively.
- Conduct an impact analysis for Master Data changes executed on organisational systems.
- Conduct a yearly Data Quality Assessment for the organisation.
- Actively champions data management projects and initiatives.
- Implement Data Quality and Data Governance metrics within the organisation.
- Review metrics and monitor the data quality and raise concerns about Data quality, data governance and related issues as necessary to the data stewards and Data manager
- Ensure that Master Data requests are handled according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA), using the organisation tooling
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience in data management, governance and operations
- DAMA certification advantageous
- Working knowledge of Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps,etc) and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is preferred
- Consumer Packaged Goods experience advantageous
