Job Position: Senior Audit Associate

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for an Audit Senior to direct our auditing process.
  2. We’ll rely on you to ensure that our financial operations and controls meet standards and are error-free.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Successful will be required to provide exceptional audit activities for our clients. As you build your knowledge and experience, you’ll become a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire industries.
  2. Working in a team, getting to know our clients, their businesses and how they work.
  3. Interacting with clients to collect all the necessary data and information to carry out the audit.
  4. Support the planning, leading fieldwork, managing performance and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements.
  5. Completing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical and business skills in areas such as revenue, costs, financial instruments and tax.
  6. Analysing the data that goes into a financial statement to make sure it is true and fair.
  7. Building and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
  8. Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues.

Job Requirements
To qualify for the role you must have:

  1. B.Sc. in Accounting or related field, ACA or at the final level of ICAN exams.
  2. Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  3. Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques.
  4. Experience across the entire audit process.
  5. Application of IFRS and local GAAP.
  6. Track record of leading, planning, execution and reporting on audits.
  7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management.
  8. Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
  9. Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies.
  10. Understanding of Q&RM procedures.
  11. Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements.
