Job Position: Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

  1. The Lendsqr Engineering team is looking for an exceptional candidate to take on the role of Backend Engineer.
  2. This is an exciting role responsible for writing web services and APIs used by frontend and mobile application engineers. The key requirement for this position is a growth-oriented mindset and commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Implement, test, deliver, and maintain product features (new and existing)
  2. Create technical reports on feature implementations
  3. Research on existing/new product features and areas of improvement
  4. Commit to creating and maintaining secure coding practices (and standards)
  5. Provide support for product features (when needed)
  6. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on long-term technology roadmap
  7. Create and maintain workflows with teams to provide visibility and to ensure workload balance for consistent visual designs
  8. Develop and oversee testing schedules
  9. Produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed
  10. Recommend systems solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased alternatives
  11. Mentor junior-intermidiate team members

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience performing similar functions
  • Good knowledge of TypeScript for the backend (NodeJS)
  • Good, working, knowledge of a Git
  • Good, working, knowledge of the SQL query language (MySQL flavor). [Knowledge and understanding of ORMs is a plus]
  • Good, working, knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB especially). [Knowledge and understanding of ODMs is a plus]
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Good knowledge of github actions work flow
  • Good knowledge of AWS cloud services like (ECS,EC2, S3, lambdas,AWS API Gateway,ACM,Route53,AWS LB) etc.
