Job Position: Senior Brand Manager
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
Market Understanding and Development:

Annual Marketing Plan:

  1. Detail the local annual Marketing Plan as per PMP and ABP requirements (including NS forecast, market share predictions, competitor analysis, brand investment and strategic priorities
  2. Communicate with and influence Demands, Supply, Finance, Sales, and Shopper & Customer marketing to ensure they deliver an appropriate customer marketing plan or support the Consumer Marketing Plan

Communication Deployment:

  1. Responsible for accurately managing marketing investment/ budget in line with the agreed Marketing Plan, and to reconcile and amend as necessary during the financial year to achieve Margin2 Forecast
  2. Responsible for maximising return on investment against agreed brand objectives by reviewing and evaluating alternative marketing investment opportunities. This includes post-campaign analysis on ATL investment. Implement agreed course correction plans where necessary.

Brand Management & Performance:

  1. Manage the development of Net Sales, Profit and Market Share in line with the Annual Marketing Plan
  2. Evaluate Brand performance, gather relevant market data (Euromonitor, Kantar, Nielsen, Offtake, where available)

Marketing and Communications Strategy Above-the-line (ATL):

  1. Develop and execute appropriate local marketing and communications activities in line with the brand strategy.
  2. Responsible for the development of annual Media Briefs
  3. Evaluate & propose Marketing mix and evaluate media channels.

Below the line (BTL):

  1. Manage all consumer BTL initiatives.
  2. Ensure clear briefing and role-assignment to Sales and S&CM for all activities.

Requirements
Educational Qualification

  1. Candidates should possess a University Degree (Honours); a Master’s Degree is an added advantage

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 6 years category management experience in the FMCG industry in Marketing, S&CM experience would be an added advantage.
  2. Cross-category working experience.
  3. Experience managing a large portfolio of categories and/or brands.
  4. Hands-on experience in digital marketing, influencer management, sponsorships,
  5. Launching new products- Project management, last mile planning, consumer, media, and trade launches
  6. People management experience

Skills & Abilities:

  1. Marketing skills including ATL and BTL development, research briefing & analysis, market analysis, consumer insight development, measurement and tracking of initiatives, claims, product & packaging development, concept development.
  2. Excellent communication skills to manage diverse relationships locally and internationally.
  3. Ability to identify patterns in data and develop action plans in response.
  4. Strong Project management skills
  5. Good team player and willing to collaborate & support others.
  6. Ability to help develop Assistant Brand Manager and other Brand Managers in CEWA.
  7. Strong presentation and communication skills, good influencing skills.
