Job Position: Senior Business Development Manager

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Responsibilities
What a typical day would be like:

  1. Identify opportunities in international target markets for NerdBug’s products and services.
  2. Generate leads through several means e.g cold calling prospective clients, pitching to our desired target audiences, attending strategic events and other value-adding activities.
  3. Provide training, coaching and professional development to the sales team.
  4. Assist sales team members to build quality relationships with customers.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, product etc to offer customer support.
  6. Develop strategies for increasing market share.
  7. Generate reports and data for sales analysis.
  8. Handle escalated client objections and concerns to support other members of the sales team.
  9. Create sales goals and implement initiatives to increase sales.
  10. Exceptional communication skills to provide leadership to the team and support customers.
  11. Develop and implement sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analysing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
  12. Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  13. Share insightful feedback with the growth team based on customer interactions.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role and previous experience as a Senior Business Development Manager in a related industry.
  2. Proficient in integrated business management and CRM software, including ProWorkflow and SalesForce.
  3. Ability to research sales leads, present proposals, and negotiate deals.
  4. Experience in a tech company or fast-paced organization with a result driven mindset is an advantage.
  5. Strong communication skills.
