Job Position: Senior Finance Manager – Controllership

Job Description

  1. You will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:

  1. Partnering with the Regional Finance Team, Product Companies and Global Accounting to ensure excellence of operational & transactional accounting including statutory and tax filing & audit processes and ensure the timeliness and quality of account reconciliations.
  2. Owning the financial accounting, closing, and reporting processes. Work horizontally with different teams, responsible for balance sheet quality, pre-close & balance sheet reviews across all operating Baker Hughes Product Companies
  3. Driving overall ownership and accountability regarding Controllership initiatives across the region including key controllership metrics
  4. Ensuring controllership and compliance of all finance activities and documentation within local statutory, Baker Hughes and business practices, policies, and procedures
  5. Working with Corporate functions and the finance team to implement new accounting standards and other controllership initiatives
  6. Ensuring compliance with local stat & US GAAP policies
  7. Being responsible for Baker Hughes maintaining and strengthening of internal controls, including working closely with the broader team to remedy Internal Controls or SOX deficiencies
  8. Playing a significant role in the regional organization transformation & continued integration
  9. Providing controllership leadership to new implementations within the region
  10. Initiating and driving simplification and standardization initiatives, and engage in business discussion to advise on operational execution
  11. Undertaking ad-hoc projects and support in regional initiatives as required

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role you will:

  1. Have a Bachelor’s, Master’s or equivalent degree in either Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math or Business
  2. Have at 5 years of experience in a Finance Controllership role, preferably familiar with US GAAP reporting
  3. Have great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with teams and customers
  4. Have experience of leading or working with teams to deliver successful projects and initiatives
  5. Demonstrate the ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment
  6. Be a good team player, enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others
  7. Have knowledge, using software like SAP & Oracle
