Job Position: Senior Financial Advisory Associate

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  1. As a Senior Financial Advisory Associate, you will actively lead financial advisory projects, and funding related matters for the company.
  2. Additionally, to be successful in this role, you will also actively manage relationships with investors, signing up and managing strategic external clients and customers.

Job Responsibilities
Financial Advisory:

  1. Develop and execute framework for deal management (Origination, structuring, execution, management etc.)
  2. Develop and implement fund raising strategies for different fund classes (debt, equity etc.)
  3. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective investors, source funds from Investors and lead negotiations with them.
  4. Develop Investor related documents (E.g., Investor teasers, pitch decks, Information Memorandum etc.)
  5. Manage relationships with Investors (this also includes having frequent meetings, developing and sharing investor reports.
  6. Perform valuation of the company as required.
  7. Oversee due diligence and conditions precedents to investment process.
  8. Manage Investments.

Business Development:

  1. Map potential customers, funders, service providers and other stakeholders.
  2. Generate and convert leads for the organization.
  3. Manage relationships with key clients, funders, collaboration partners, and other stakeholders.
  4. Establish revenue objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  5. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  6. And any other task assigned by your supervisor from time to time based on business priorities of the business.

Job Requirements

  1. First Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline- preferably with at least 2:1.
  2. An MBA is an added advantage.
  3. Minimum of 4 years of work experience
  4. Business development experience (preferably in a financial setting)
  5. Financial advisory experience or business/management consulting experience
  6. Marketing and/or product development experience is an added advantage.

Skills:

  1. Possesses an understanding of FinTech businesses and products.
  2. Working knowledge to conduct cost/benefit analysis
  3. Business plan development
  4. Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  5. Demonstrate basic leadership skills.
  6. Strong strategic and analytical orientation
  7. Highly developed collaborative nature.

  9. Good stakeholder and engagement abilities.
  10. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  11. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, plans, and projection.

  13. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant accounting tools.
