Job Position: Senior Human Resources Officer
Location: Ekiti

Job Description
The Senior HR Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HRIS management, and compliance.

The role ensures HR policies are effectively implemented and contributes to building a positive work culture that aligns with the company’s goals.

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Management:

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
  2. Prepare job adverts, shortlist candidates, and coordinate interviews.
  3. Support talent pipeline development and succession planning.
  4. Oversee onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries.
  2. Handle employee complaints, conflict resolution, and grievance procedures.
  3. Support initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  4. Conduct periodic employee engagement surveys and follow up on action plans.

Performance Management:

  1. Coordinate and support performance appraisal processes.
  2. Work with managers to set targets, evaluate outcomes, and drive improvements.
  3. Identify performance gaps and recommend development plans.

HR Administration & Compliance:

  1. Maintain accurate HR records, HRIS data, payroll inputs, and documentation.
  2. Ensure policies, procedures, and practices comply with labour laws.
  3. Track leave, attendance, disciplinary records, and contract renewals.
  4. Prepare HR reports and analytics for management decision-making.

Learning & Development:

  1. Identify training needs in line with performance outcomes.
  2. Plan and coordinate internal/external training sessions.
  3. Track training participation and effectiveness.

Policy Development:

  1. Contribute to the review and update of HR policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure effective communication and implementation across departments.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  2. 4 – 7 years progressive HR experience.
  3. Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
  4. Strong knowledge of Nigerian employment laws and HR best practices.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and HR Information Systems (HRIS).

Salary
Negotiable (Based on experience).
