Job Description
- The employee will own, build and iterate on SunFi’s platform – bringing our ideas to life across every use case, and user experience.
- The employee is saddled with the responsibility of understanding the users’ needs, market needs, and business goals.
- The employee will have the ability to think strategically, act pragmatically, and have the tenacity, energy, and passion to innovate and implement change within the time and resource constraints of a quickly growing startup environment.
- The employee will report to the CTO and be required to effectively communicate with and engage colleagues, leadership, and junior colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive the product vision and high-level technical concepts to bridge the gap between technology, the people, and the business processes it supports
- Own and lead all aspects of the established agile team: writing user stories and acceptance criteria, backlog grooming, triage and prioritization, demos, end-to-end product execution, and cross-functional leadership.
- Communicate product direction, progress, delivery, launch, and mitigation plans to all relevant team members and business partners.
- Accountable for the SunFi Product KPIs Metrics.
- Strive to deeply understand user needs by conducting user research and identifying opportunities and pain points. And advocate for user needs through the cycle of building products.
- Define, document, and drive roadmaps, project plans, and precise product specifications that consistently deliver quality products for your customers.
- Work with a team of engineers and designers to discover solutions to customer pain points, and build and launch products for local and global businesses. This would ensure the team can deliver a scalable architecture that not just meets current needs but considers future growth scenarios
- Ensure successful product launches by working cross-functionally with marketing, merchant success, sales, operations, legal, and compliance teams.
- Communicate requirements to the design and engineering leads, and maintain communication between the product design and engineering units as it relates to the needs of the business
- Regularly sit with Leadership and other stakeholders (User Services, Finance & Growth) to discover the customer’s needs
- Train or provide product reviews for User Services, Growth & Finance team members on new features Prioritize features and functionality to meet business goals and user needs.
- Use data to drive product decisions, defining success metrics and measuring results against them
- Provide product review and guidance of features and delivery timeframes
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior Product Management team members.
- Provide technical support in hiring Product management employees.
Job Requirements
- Consensus-builder; develops relationships across the company with ease.
- Technical fluency; you don’t have to be an engineer, but you do need to speak the language.
- Strong understanding of how to truly propose and build a lean MVP and scope out further milestones for a product or feature.
- Detail-oriented and has a high bar for quality when it comes to writing stories, acceptance criteria, launch plans, and testing a feature before greenlighting its launch to users.
- Strong project management with the ability to identify and communicate blockers, next steps, and progress.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency with data, with the ability to use a variety of tools to gather and synthesize information (experience with Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a tendency to over-document and over-communicate: we are fully remote, so this is very important!
- Humble and willing to learn/grow. We need confident and capable individuals who want to help each other succeed as much as they want to help our talent succeed.
- Good knowledge of Product Management tools like Jira, Pivotal Tracker, Asana, Monday, etc.
