Job Description
- As an Associate, Settlements at Flutterwave, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely settlement of transactions, helping to maintain smooth financial operations.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and customer support, to facilitate successful transaction settlements and resolve any related issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that daily settlement is done accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure daily download of all transactions made by merchants, computing by currency and applying deductions/charges as needed.
- File merchant settlement concisely while uploading the bulk settlement file to the settlement portal for approval.
- Reviewing settlement file and generating reports deliverables to the responsible teams in the organization.
- Regularly collate and consolidate key performance indices and be able to highlight gaps and recommend remedial actions.
- Investigate all internal suspense accounts under the ownership of Flutterwave.
- Airtime Settlement to partners done as at when due.
- Reconciliation of all settlement reports.
- Reconciliation and regularization of merchants’ wallet.
- Merchant wallet reconciliation.
- Daily update of settlement/Transfer tracking sheet.
- Any other duties assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a settlements or payments role, preferably in the financial technology (fintech) industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of payment processing, financial reconciliation, and settlements processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the payments landscape.
