Job Description

  1. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SME Business Officer to join our business banking team. As an SME Business Officer, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing them with tailored financial solutions, and contributing to the growth of our business banking proposition.
  2. Reports To : SME Business Lead
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with SME clients, understanding their financial needs and providing personalized solutions.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for SME clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  5. Identify new business opportunities within the SME sector and contribute to the growth of the company’s SME portfolio.
  6. Collaborate with the SME Business Manager to implement business development strategies.
  7. Conduct financial consultations with SME clients to assess their requirements and recommend suitable banking, payment, and loan solutions.
  8. Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to provide informed financial advice.
  9. Assist SME clients in completing necessary documentation for banking, payment, and loan transactions.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all client interactions.
  11. Collaborate with internal teams, including product development and risk management, to ensure the effective delivery of SME financial solutions.
  12. Provide feedback and insights to contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services.
  13. Implement strategies to monitor and assess sales performance, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years proven experience in SME banking, with a track record of successful business development and leadership across Business/SME Banking and Lending OR in FMCG distribution
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and analyze financial data.
  • Proactive and results oriented.
