Job Position: Social Media Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a Social Media Analyst with excellent communication & creative skills to oversee the company’s social media presence through creating and implementing content strategies on social media platforms, ensuring a high level of web traffic and customer engagement.
  2. Conduct research on current book trends and audience preferences.
  3. Create and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  4. Generate impactful and meaningful content on all social media platforms. It encompasses areas such as writing and editing social media posts, growing customer engagement, and supporting social media campaigns
  5. Craft out social media content and plans that are in alignment with the company’s brand identity
  6. Produce, edit, distribute and share engaging content on a daily basis (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news)
  7. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure brand consistency
  8. Lead and promote social influencer programs.
  9. Interact with followers, reply to queries promptly, and monitor customer feedback
  10. Recommend and implement new initiatives to develop brand awareness such as promotions, events, and contests
  11. Monitor search, social, and content metrics
  12. Use web analytical tools such as Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media presence and performance
  13. Recommend proposals to tweak the social media marketing strategy for optimal results
  14. Prepare periodical reports on social media marketing efforts for Management.
  15. Keep updated on the best practices and emerging trends in social media.
  16. Analyze the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identify strategic weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements
  17. Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings and prospects need.
  18. Log and process orders from social media for processing on CRM/Order Management Platform

Job Requirements

  1. Experience as a social media specialist or similar position.
  2. Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness.
  4. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
  5. Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics and SEO.
  6. Knowledge of the book and publishing industry is a plus.
  7. Bibliophile and can work in a fast-paced environment are an advantage.
