Job Position: Social Media Manager

Job Description
- GIVO is seeking a talented and creative Social Media Manager to join our team and help us build, manage and maintain a strong online presence.
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media and have a proven track record of success in creating engaging content and driving online engagement.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and manage GIVO’s day-to-day presence across social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn)
- Assist in the development and execution of SMS and WhatsApp marketing campaigns
- Create and curate engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts aligned with our content pillars and quarterly focus areas
- Implement our social media and offline content strategy, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms
- Monitor and respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely manner
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Support the planning and promotion of offline events and community initiatives
- Track and report on social media metrics and KPIs
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment of social media efforts with overall marketing and business goals
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices
- Collaborate on blog content creation and email marketing campaigns
- Assist in managing our email subscriber list
- Support the analysis of performance across various digital channels, providing insights to the team
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or a Communications-related degree, or proven experience in a marketing role
- 2-4 years of work experience experience in social media and/or community management
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their unique characteristics
- Ability to create visually appealing content using design tools
- Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
- Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
- Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter) is a plus
- Knowledge of sustainability and recycling issues is a plus
