Job Description
- We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join the team. As a Social Media Manager, you will oversee the strategic management, growth, and engagement of our brand’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Whatsapp and Twitter.
- You will also be responsible for creating and executing social media strategies, creating content calendars, monitoring analytics, managing content schedules, and fostering community engagement across these platforms.
- Our ideal candidate should be a creative, organized, and data-driven individual, who can effectively manage our social media presence, ensuring that content is consistently posted and aligned with our brand’s voice.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Management Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies for each platform to align with the overall marketing goals, working collaboratively with the Creative Strategist to ensure a cohesive approach.
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to optimize content and strategy.
Platform-Specific Strategy Development:
- Tailor social media strategies for each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Whatsapp) based on their unique algorithms, user behaviors, and content formats.
- Identify growth opportunities on emerging platforms and explore new features or trends on existing platforms to stay ahead of the competition.
Content Management:
- Collaborate with the Content creators, Design Lead and Creative strategist to plan and schedule high-quality, engaging, and brand-aligned content.
- Oversee the content calendar for all social media platforms, ensuring consistent posting and alignment with the brand’s TOV.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, including promotions, giveaways, content partnerships, and paid advertising.
Community Management:
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and brand-consistent manner.
- Foster a positive online community by managing interactions, addressing issues, and nurturing brand advocates.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, reach, impressions, and conversions.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and campaigns, identifying what works and what doesn’t.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with the marketing, sales, product, and project teams to ensure social media efforts are aligned with brand objectives.
Crisis Management & Reputation Building:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing potential social media crises, ensuring swift and appropriate responses to protect the brand’s reputation.
- Build and maintain a positive brand image through proactive engagement, storytelling, and value-driven content.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably across multiple platforms.
- Strong understanding of each social media platform’s unique algorithms, audiences, and content requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
- Creative thinking with the ability to adapt to fast-changing trends.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt strategies in response to changing trends and platform updates.
- Passion: Enthusiasm for social media, digital trends, and content creation.
- Hybrid position.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to manage time-sensitive social media activities.
